SJIB Approved Electrician or Electrician Grade - City & Guilds 2330 & 2391 or NVQ Level 3, 17th Edition
Customer focussed individual with proactive approach to working
Ability to work on own initiative and or as part of a team
Ability to work safely at all times and the ability to understand contract and Health & Safety requirements/regulations
Current Driving License
Our Working hours are: 8am until 16.30pm, Monday to Thursday 8am to 14.00pm on Friday. You may be required to work additional hours as required by the needs of your role and business.

Our apprenticeship programmes are for electricians/approved electricians.
The work of an Electrician is varied and can include the following:
installing and maintaining cables, wiring, conduits, fitments, meters, switchgear and other electrical equipment.
using various hand and power tools to measure, cut, join and fit cabling, wiring and equipment of a variety of types.
reading plans and technical drawings and working from them, in large projects.
installing the wiring and electrical components in complex electrical and electronic equipment.
testing installations to make sure that they are effective and completely safe and secure, diagnosing and repairing faults in installations and electrical equipment.
Apprentice Qualifications gained:
The four year apprenticeship consists of a combination of college hours and on site experience leading to a final FICA test and an SVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation.
Apprentice Entry qualifications required:
Applicants must have sat and passed SECCT’s industry approved assessment. Derek Mitchell Electricals also require applicants to have achieved a General Level Standard Grade 3 or above in Mathematics, English and Physics and a technical subject as a minimum.
